These photos have been nine months in the making. When Chelsea from Tuesday Grace Designs created this invitation suite, inspired by a photograph I took while in Portugal earlier this year, I immediately knew I wanted to style it with little bits and bobs that reminded us of one of our favorite places. Most of it came easily, like the vintage Portuguese stamps from Etsy, and one of the postcards we collected from 1908 Lisboa Hotel. However, finding Pasteis de Nata, the sweet little egg custard tarts that are a staple in Portugal, proved to be difficult. I even tried to make them myself, which was both hilarious and a complete and total failure. But then we discovered Majestic Portuguese Bakehouse in Coral Gables, just a little over an hour from our house, and I knew the search was over. Their Pasteis de Nata might be even better than the ones we had walking the streets of Lisbon. If you’re ever in the Miami area, make sure you go try them for yourself!
